Make Easy Warcraft Gold in TBC
I attained level 70 and buying my flying mount, I watned to spend more time in the Outlands and TBC and learn where the ideal drops and ideal grinding spots where.
Grinding in the Outlands has quite a few benefits, if you skin, you can gather a lot of knothide leather which sells great on the auction house, not to mention motes which can be turned into primals and sell for huge amounts of gold.
One of my favorite places is Hellfire Peninsula to farm motes of shadow from the Voidwalkers on the eastern edge. In a 2 hour run, I can get about 2-3 primals and thats a simple 50+ gold , not to mention some green drops worth anywhere from 5-15 gold a piece and some silver for each kill.
Another place I enjoy grinding is Nagrand for Thick Clefthoof Leather because I’m a skinner. These are awesome for a high level LW and go for a nice price on the AH.
Not a skinner? You may want to head to Nagrand for the Voidwalkers around Oshu’Gun and just south of there on the edge, they drop a lot of Motes. The Shattered Rumblers have great mote of earth drop rate and the Voidwraiths drop mote of shadows.
The Netherstorm is a nice place to farm for netherweave cloth, I believe this is the single ideal place to farm it, the name of the area tells it all! You can pick this cloth up [all over|left and right from the tons of humanoids that are scattered throughout Netherstorm, not to mention Sunfury Signets that are very great sellers.
If you aren’t level 70, you might want to stay in Terokkar Forrest and massacre the Bloodelfs at Firewing point or the Arakkoa that are in a few different places. The Bloodelfs drop Firewing Signets, not as good as the Sunfury Signet, but they drop a lot of them and go for about 50S to 1G each on the AH. The Arakkoa bird-guys (I believe they’re called Talonite) drop Arakkoa feathers which sell great on the AH as well.
Another big money maker is the Spider Silk in Terokkar Forrest, (Netherweb)… These bad boys go for an simple 10 Gold each and you can snatch up about a stack an hour if you are good! I’ve a Hunter and I send my pet in to do the dirty work while I go off and fetch 2 or 3 more spiders then send the pet after them, using Beatial Wrath which makes him stronger, taking out 3 or 4 spiders in one killing, rest up and repeat, in 2 hours I get about 25-30 of these spider webs and that’s simple gold!
