Video games now reach many different markets instead of just previously adolescent males. Xbox 360 Accomplishments has a many objectives for the game. For example, Halo 3 has a variety of accomplishments that players can complete offline in single player. Completing each of the nine campaign missions on different levels will finish an accomplishment. Also, earning rank level, or being the Most Valuable Player in a match, while on the internet, will also complete Xbox 360 Achievements rating. Each game has a number of achievements that players can complete for. Players then receive a number of points for each achievement that they complete.
The best part of Xbox 360 Achievements is that anyone can view other players’ accomplishments and scores. This grants gamers to proudly display what they’ve accomplished in different games. Because many of the achievements are genuinely difficult or nearly impossible to complete, these accomplishments can be viewed as a sign of the player’s skill. Achievements can most be viewed like a baseball player’s statistics, for example.
With millions of players using the Xbox Live service, Xbox 360 Accomplishments might have set a standard for others to follow. For example, Call of Duty 4 was released not only on the Xbox 360 but also on the Personal computer. The Xbox 360 Accomplishments version is different from the PC version which has “ranks and challenges,” The idea of on the web persistence and being able to show your achievements is carried over. As this future trend continues, more games will come with accomplishments for players to show the skill they’ve. An example would be Lord of the Rings On the web where players complete “deeds” to improve their character’s capabilities. Xbox 360 Achievements allows players to display in their accomplishments worldwide and creating a reason to carry on with the game as well as buy new versions as they became available.
